OK, I got most of my dns woes fixed, I thought.  But I still cannot send e-mail to this non-local account.  I am worried that other users may be experiencing similar problems and not realize that something is wrong.
Also there is a line in the log below saying imail is looking up slam in HOSTS.  Is this referring to the hosts file in NT?  I am not using LM HOSTS. This email address is not a local address.  He is a friend on another service. He is the only account I have ever knowingly had this problem with.
I have not yet turned off relaying (pending resolving dns issues) so there are no local hosts files to look for, no settings checked to make imail look.
