Raid 0 is Striping -> you need 2 or more hard drives. it puts a part of the
data on each of the drives (fastest data access - no redundancy)
Raid 1 is mirroring -> you need 2 hard drives. it keeps a copy of the data
on each drive so you always have a backup copy of your data. if one goes
down then it can rely on the remaining one.
Raid 5 -> uses 3 or more hard drives. it stored part of the data on each
drive and keeps a party bit so it can reconstruct the data if a drive fails.
Better than Raid 1 , Slower than Raid 0.
