I wouldnt bet the farm on its results. Sure it probly tells you that your not doing
things the way that alot of DNS admins do but in the grand scheme it doesnt really
matter as long as it is performing the duteis that it is supposed to. One thing in
particular is alot of DNS checkers will frown upon using a serial number that does not
use the date format in it. Does that stop your dns from resolving queries? No it most
certainly doesnt and another no no is using an A record to serve for more than one
hostname but if your running virtual hosting then that is exactly what you want to do
no matter what it says.

Hey Len:
Is DNS Expert what you'd rec'd for someone who's just been thrust into
handling our DNS duties?
I use Sam Spade to help me at this point, but sometimes I have a question
that I need help on. I do search the web dns sites and read thru material I
find, but I'd really like to have something to help check things over and
"troubleshoot", etc.
Using FBLI DNS Software for both pri and sec (but usually edit the zone
files myself with Notepad lately) :>)
Question Example: (as long as I'm here)
If an IP has 2 A records associate with it, is it the first one listed in
the reverse record file taht will always show up? Like if AOL does a
reverse on acs3.cyberbounty.com it gets adserver.cyberbounty.com, I just
changed it to list acs3.cyberbounty.com as the first record, adserver
second. Whats the rule for this?
