One method could be to copy the relevant Registry entries from the old
server and export them to the new server. Then all that would be left is
perform a drive copy as long as the directory structures remain the same.

Another is to exercise the ""RE: [IMail Forum] Moving from one drive to
another (Craig Gittens)"" that was posted here a few messages ago. I prefer
this one as nothing beats a fresh "CLEAN" install

The error messages are issued because there are no Registry entries for the
users you want to transfer, since they don't exist.....

There are a few other items that must be doublechecked, i.e. Hostnames, DNS,
Relay Options, Gateway selections, but in the end it usually comes up pretty
easily.

Except for the HTML language on the LIST.......Aargh!!!!!

have multiple mail accounts setup on a remote machine and we are hoping to
transfer those accounts to another remote machine. We have the mail server
already installed on the new machine but the problem is sending mail from
the new machine. I have established only three accounts and try to send
messages to myself from the mail server account from the mail server account
on the new machine to the account I currently have on the old one. Each time
I try this I get an error message from the postmaster stating that the
sender is an unknown user. If anyone has a solution to this problem or to
have a more delailed explination, please write me.
