> How can we change it so that addresses appear as [EMAIL PROTECTED] instead

Well, this question can most easily be answered by asking another question:
Where do you enter "Intranet" in the IMail settings?

I'm guessing that the server is named "Intranet", and that when you
installed IMail, you used that as the Official Host Name of the server. The
Official Host Name is supposed to be an actual domain name, and is the one
that will appear on outgoing E-mail sent through web messaging.

You can change this by going to the General tab of the IMail Administrator,
and changing the "Host Name" option from "Intranet" (if I'm right that that
is what already is there) to "ssfc.ac.uk".
