you must you "6.05" and the latest patches.  see ipswitch's ftp site for the latest.

When SMTP AUTH stops working, you don't have to reboot the machine, just in Imail 
stop/start the SMTP service.

The Imail check box for "Disable SMTP AUTH reporting" does not enable/disable the 
function within Imail, it only enable/disables the "reporting" of the service in an 
ESMTP dialog with other mail servers.

Imail SMTP AUTH still seems to be unstable for some servers.
