If you stop the POP3 service, does the logging stop, too? It should.

Have you tried configuring POP3 service to log to another place (SYSmmdd.txt
file)? Does that work? Don't forget to click the Apply button after making
the change, then stop/start the service.

A POP client might connect, check status, then disconnect in a very short
time, especially if no new mail. So what you are reporting is certainly
possible. The clients should not connect more often then every few minutes
(I recommend 10-20 minutes).

The 4 MX hosts listed for your domain are not IMail servers, so I could not
find the IMail host, nor connect to it.

Don't recognize the Dial up error message (not too experienced with that),
so I cannot offer much help. But from the message, it kind of sounds like
the remote is attempting to connect to a host and cannot find it. Sounds
sorta like a 'name resolution' (DNS or WINS) problem. Or a routing issue.
