One other thing that will also cause this is if you have Audit's
enabled. (If I'm correct, I think that only applies if your using the
NT user database.)

DD> Larry,
DD> If you stop the POP3 service, does the logging stop, too? It should.
DD> Have you tried configuring POP3 service to log to another place (SYSmmdd.txt
DD> file)? Does that work? Don't forget to click the Apply button after making
DD> the change, then stop/start the service.
DD> A POP client might connect, check status, then disconnect in a very short
DD> time, especially if no new mail. So what you are reporting is certainly
DD> possible. The clients should not connect more often then every few minutes
DD> (I recommend 10-20 minutes).
DD> The 4 MX hosts listed for your domain are not IMail servers, so I could not
DD> find the IMail host, nor connect to it.
DD> Don't recognize the Dial up error message (not too experienced with that),
DD> so I cannot offer much help. But from the message, it kind of sounds like
DD> the remote is attempting to connect to a host and cannot find it. Sounds
DD> sorta like a 'name resolution' (DNS or WINS) problem. Or a routing issue.

>> I am running IMAIL 6.0.x on an NT4 system. Over the last week, the

>> at the same time, for various users. The log fills up in 5 minutes. The
>> logon process is POP3D32. I have tried, with Ipswitch on the phone, to
>> stop logging from POP. I have also replaces POP3D32 with a new file sent
>> from Ipswitch. No luck! Have I been hacked? I am also having trouble
>> with Dial-Up Networking, in that the dialup part is working, connection is

>> ..." Seems like these may be connected, but I can't figure out how.
