This may sound funny, but we had nightmares trying to get this
to work with a new WinModem until we went and got an old analogue
Sportster 14400 FAXModem. NT drivers do not handle modem hardware
well unless you get drivers that are really compatible and hand
the modem all the necessary commands. It has worked flawlessly
ever since we put this old modem in. <g>
