IMail works quite well inside a PIX firewall.

1.) PIX Configuration must include:
a.) Static translated addresses for each outside address to an inside address. See command "static."
b.) Conduits for each translated address for pop3 and smtp. See command "conduit."
c.) Conduits for port 8383 for each translated address for which web access is desired.
d.) You may need the line "no fixup protocol smtp" (depending upon PIX version).

2.) IMail requires no special configuration except that inside addresses are used.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Urgently for PIX firewall!!!

Hi there,,,

couple of weeks ago I send you for advise for installing Imail server behind the PIX firwall...
and some guys recommanded me to some commands....
Now when I try to configure the PIX, I found a problem:
My mail server hosts about 20 domain mails, each domain with it's real IP.
I am planning to put my mail server on the inside interface ofcourse with private IPs... and bind the mail server with real IP
is that possible to bind all the 20 domain mails to ouside real IPs.
OR how can I do this ....
IF NO... how can I install it with private IPs from the inside interface IPs..

Please help me sooon...

Regards,,,

Magdy
