The "550 not local host, not a gateway..." is in the bounce messge. The
message comes from iMail.
IMail wont forward a message that comes from an outside domain (e.g. AOL,
EarthLink, Yahoo - all of which I've used to test) to a valid host and
account on my server. IMail does recognize the users domain, because the
account can receive e-mail and messages sent from accounts (on other
domains) from the same server will get forwarded to the AOL account. Any
ideas?
Also,I only set the relaying option to test if that was the problem.
Obviously, I don't intend on leaving relaying on for everyone. Ipswitch, in
fact, had suggested I change the relay settings.

It's a bad idea to allow relaying for everyone. I still can't understand
why people will force their good customers to pay for E-mail but let
spammers use it for free.
Where are you getting the "550 not local host, not a gateway..." error? Is
it in a bounce message? If so, did it come from IMail or AOL? I can't
imagine AOL would send such a message. So, check your IMail logs and see
what they say. I'm guessing that IMail doesn't recognize the domain that
your user is on.
