I have a strange problem that i can't understand because it seems a
bit technical.
I have installed imail on our test platform and everything was
normal and working properly.We are using external Database for Imail users
and this database is on another server.My test platform was in a domain
part.Imail server was NT4.0 and Sql server was 2000 server.But after we've
carried our Imail server to our real Sql server, a problem has occured.
When I install Imail on this server I selected to use external
database check box and I wrote ODBCUSER.DLL to External Database part. Then
into ODBC data source part I wrote ODBC name( I finished before ODBC
settings with NT authentication). Into the table name part I wrote table
name before I created on SQL server( on Win2000 server with SP1). And I
finished installation. These two servers are on DMZ and working as a
workgroup. On Imail server I wrote 80 to the web messaging server's port.
The services are running. Imail client tool is working properly.
We can create and modify users on SQL table by using Imail admin
console and it works properly.We can see users,add new user or update user
informations by Imail's admin console. We can log in by client software,too.
But when we try to get logged-on by Imail web pages,it doesn't work.It seems
like Imail's logon page(login.cgi) can't communicate with our Sql server.In
Sql Profiler I started to trace and I saw on Sql User Name column was
"Anonymous" and on event class column was "disconnect from server".
As a result I have web authentication error.Because of i can't see
login.cgi codes, i can't understand why this problem occurs.
If someone can help me or could speculate why this problem
occurs,please contact me.

Configuration: Imail server on NT 4.0 server with service pack 5. I
have Imail 6.06 eval on NT server.Sql server on W2000 server.(On test
platform it was same ,too)
Location and settings: On DMZ and have a static IP. We created A and
MX record for Imail server on DNS.
I wrote to Host Name: Domain part like company.com and I wrote to default
host part server's IP address.
The difference between test platform and now is our test platform is
on domain part but new location is a workgroup.
