Mike,

Kind of a WAG (Wild A**ed Guess), but I have heard of some problems with
NICs and W2K and IMail and was wondering what kind this new server has? Can
you try a different NIC in this server?

Yea, that Winsock error number and its message are rather cryptic and there
are other places that can give a better description than the Ipswitch KB.
But from what I understand, the error means that some software operation
that was supposed to perform work on a 'socket' was found to be working on
something that was not a socket. Since the IMail code does not do that (or
we all would have the problem!) then something about the data Winsock was
handling is 'misidentified' or corrupted. That is why I suggested the NIC
(or its driver! Make sure you have the latest from vendor).
