Well its in 2 stages.  First stage in your domains "rules.ima" file there should be something that looks like this
B~(begin 6.*\.vb~|begin 6.*\.sh~|begin 6.*\.sc~):virusbox
<the ~ are there to make it so that you can see the rule and your own rules don't take it out.  Here is another example :
S~Snowhite and the Seven Dwarfs - The REAL story!:virusbox

then you need to set up a forwarding file that forwards all email from the virusbox at the user level to your domain virus box
this file would be called virusbox.fwd and its a file that contains the address you want it to forward to
virusbox@yourdomain.com

then you set up Infomanager for that box and put a message in there that will automatically respond back to the sender, and also leave a copy of the message in the box for you to sift through and review.

Hope this gives you a better overview of it.  We also use the tool that's listed on Ipswich's site  called IMFilter.  This little application will put the forwarding and rules files on each domain and each user for you.  Helps alot when you have to update your rules often.

Good Luck

Todd

Thanks this helps allot. But in my rules on is below. How should it look to sent it to a email address instead of it making a mailbox in the local users account.

B~"bad word":NUL

There may be an easier way,

But I have rules/filters set up on each domain that forward to either a "Virus Box" , or an "Improper file attachment" box.  That box has an auto responder set up letting the people know that we don't accept that type of email.  It seems to be working fine for me , but someone else might have a different way.

Hope this helps
Todd

PS  I use Carver amps still... great line of products there :)  email off line if you ever have any good sales coming up :)

Hi Everyone,

I am new to Imail so be kind. Is there a way to send back a

email response to a sender that has sent an email with bad content or

attachments. This email would let the sender know he or she has sent a bad

email and it was deleted.

Thanks
