Just joined the list, so hello everyone.
I have a remotely located IMail server running on NT 4.0. I have a W2k
server at the client site providing internet access via NAT. Using Outlook
Express I try to get the ldap info and this will crash OE. All PC's are
running the same version of OE at the client site.
Couple of points about this:
1) Happens all the time at client site, but all of them are on the same
version of OE, so it be that the version of OE matters. Off-site it
sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. I can't figure out why it works on some
systems or not. It doesn't seem to matter the O/S, 98,NT,2000.
2) I have put in the objectclass="person" parameter. Didn't effect issue
either way.
3) I have changed the port from 389 to 500. Didn't effect issue either
way.
I have an NT system with OE v5.50.4522.1200, which Dr. Watson's on
msimn.exe, but the same version of OE with the same setup on 98 crashes.
Both these PC's are at the IMail site
I'd like to think I'm a pretty good troubleshooter but I have to admit this
one has me stumped. Much thanks to anyone who has a helpful suggestion or
two for this issue.
