It does turn SMTP Auth out of order which means nobody can authenticate to
send mail via smtp AUTH.

You have to choose another smtp security strategy that can fit your needs.

Yes, I think it's ridiculous. I still don't understand why smtp auth and
database based user base doesn't work together :-(
I hope this is getting fixed in V7 ... really hope !
