Chuck,

Typically, it is the MTU of the first 'router' or the sending computer, that
is the trouble. I'm not an expert on fixing this, by any stretch of the
imagination (actually did that part, only once, on one PC!), but I have seen
this enough times, to recognize the symptoms ('unreliable' connections,
especially with larger amounts of data). And that dialup/modem connections
are almost always the ones with this problem. That is how I guessed it was a
dialup connection!

Sorry I cannot help in more detail. Maybe you can tell us what you find?
