Daniel,
"Refuse Null Sender" is not enabled. I have only "Allow remote mail ot
local groups", "Allow remove view of local groups", "Check valid sender",
"Auto-deny possible hack attempts" and "Disable SMTP VRFY command" enabled.
Some more observations about the problems:
I was comparing last two mail logs to the list and found one particular user
email address to be present in one and not the other. I have asked him
about these two mailings and he said that he has received both !! So, it
looks like it is possible that a users email address is not present in the
logs either with RCPT line or some other ack type (there are some addresses
with "recipient OK" but not RCPT line.).
Are there any special flags turned on to get the complete log ? If not,
there is something definitely missing, assuming that email address of each
list member must show up in the log.
If there is an invalid character in the original users.lst file, would not
that cause ALL addresses after that particular one to be missing ? As I see
it, in each 160 user sub list chunk for SMTP processes, some users are
missing.
Two questions:
How to get an accurate list of users that did not get the mail ?
Why did they not get it ?
