Everyone,

We are having challenges utilizing our smtp service when outside of the
office/LAN. We have all of our computers sitting behind a firewall with
dedicated IP's on the mail server. No one inside of the office has a
challenge sending email to other company employees or external email
addresses. The challenge is dialing up a local ISP and still using our
corporate (iMail) smtp server to send the mail.

When I am internal I can perform mail relay checks and have no issues and
everything works just like it is supposed to.

When I am external (outside of the office on the other side of the firewall)
using an ISP (ATT or Mindspring/Earthlink, etc) I am not able to connect to
the mail server. I can ping the mail server with the smtp address. When I
try and do a mail relay check it doesn't connect.

Our SMTP security is presently set to "Relay mail for anyone" -- yes I know
that this is should be able to let spammers through but right now we can't
even get in and it is our mail server.

To what I know the MX and PTR & A records are correct. Our firewall setting
are correct as well. Any other ideas that we are missing?

Thanks for your help!

Jeremy
