When we built our Imail server a few years ago, all of our customers bought
internet access thru us, so we limited who could send mail by only allowing
a certain range of IP addy's to send / relay messages.
Since then we have sold that portion of our business, but most of the e-mail
boxes stayed with us. Since their IP's changed, they now cannot send mail
off of me. What I have been telling them is to call their local ISP and ask
them for the SMTP information. But since we lost the internet access
portion of the business, we are getting more and more customers that want an
e-mail box thru us but do NOT use us for internet access. I need another
solution...

My question is, if I turn SMTP Auth on out of the blue, will that cause any
noticeable effect to any of my customers that still CAN send e-mail off of
me? Will my customers have to change their e-mail clients if they are
working fine now? What else can I expect?

Thanks in advance!

Matt
