In fact, RFC2505 recommends that you MUST be able to restrict unauthorized
mail relaying. I don't understand the exact meaning of an RFC recommending
that you MUST do something (as opposed to the normal RFCs where MUST really
MUST be done, a recommendation doesn't have to be followed).
It seems that more and more people are starting to restrict mail from open
relays.
