In the services control panel turn on "interact with desktop" for
those imail services you want to monitor in realtime. After making
the change you will have to restart the service.
One note, you have to send your logs to LOGMMDD.txt and NOT
SYSMMDD.txt in order for them to display in realtime. You can set
which file each service logs to in the IMail Administrator |
Services section. Not a big deal.

Subject: [IMail Forum] Mail Queues and monitoring
We are having issues where large mailings 5000 or more are taking
along
time to send.
It is really hard for me to trouble shoot this as telling real time
what
is going on is eluding me.
I used to have this cool (macintosh) mail server years ago, that had
a
realtime monitor window that I could watch the transactions happen.
IS
there any way to do this with imail? Maybe a little app that wathces
the
logs realtime?
Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
