I feel like a bone head - I can't get it to work. I have it set to log
to log server, but the only thing that is showing in the debug window is
the pop requests (and it is not set to log to it).

Craig said to set it to:

One note, you have to send your logs to LOGMMDD.txt and NOT SYSMMDD.txt
in order for them to display in realtime. You can set which file each
service logs to in the IMail Administrator | Services section. Not a
big deal.

But how do I do this. I see where to select (on pull down) sysmmdd.txt
but I see no way to specify logmmdd.txt.

If you want to see the log data in real-time, do this:

1) Set the "IMail Sys Logger Service" to interact with the
desktop...then restart it.
2) In the IMail administrator, find the SMTP service and set the "Log
To" setting to "Log Server".
3) Check the "Debug Messages" box if you want a painful amount of
detail.

The Logging service window will be on your desktop and always stays at
the bottom. The same information will would have been in the
SYSxxxx.TXT file, but ONLY the SMTP stuff or whichever services you've
configured to log to the "Log Server".

Hope this helps.

Where? I don't see a place to specify log files in the Imail
Administrator Services section. Version6.1

In the services control panel turn on "interact with desktop" for those
imail services you want to monitor in realtime. After making the change
you will have to restart the service.

One note, you have to send your logs to LOGMMDD.txt and NOT SYSMMDD.txt
in order for them to display in realtime. You can set which file each
service logs to in the IMail Administrator | Services section. Not a

We are having issues where large mailings 5000 or more are taking along
time to send.

It is really hard for me to trouble shoot this as telling real time what
is going on is eluding me.

I used to have this cool (macintosh) mail server years ago, that had a
realtime monitor window that I could watch the transactions happen. IS
there any way to do this with imail? Maybe a little app that wathces the
logs realtime?

Any thoughts on this would be appreciated.
