When I telnet into my mail server from behind my firewall, internally, this is what I get..this is what it's supposed to look like right?
220 X1 NT-ESMTP Server todhunter.com (IMail 6.05 88820-1) 250-todhunter.com says hello 250-SIZE 0 250-8BITMIME 250-DSN 250-ETRN 250-AUTH LOGIN CRAM-MD5 250-AUTH=LOGIN 250 EXPN >From the looks of this, it looks like the smtp auth is working internally..so maybe it IS something in my firewall preventing the auth from working externally. Umm..I hate to say this but..I AM the firewall admin! Sad huh? So, anyone else using a Watchguard Firebox II and having problems with their smtp auth from the outside?
