Sorry if this was recently covered, but my "Imail Newsletter" box was
corrupted &
I had to delete it the other day...
We are on 6.08 using "registry". We have 7 (7.???) and have been waiting
to upgrade
until all seemed stable. Is it there yet from what people have seen?
We also want to move from the registry to a separate SQL 2000 server.
1. What is the best way to do it? Upgrade to 7.x? Fresh install & copy
"something" back in?
2. Switch to SQL2K after or during the 7.xxx install?
3. Is it OK for SQL to be on another box or will it hurt performance?
4. During the move we want to change the IP address of the mail server
(one primary IP and the rest are "virtual")
5. Can we just add a record to the SQL to add a new virtual host, or do we
have to do the GUI thing? Or a command line approach?
a. And if it is the command line approach, has anyone developed
or posted an .asp script to do it?
6. If SQK2K is OK, can you use the .dll 's with IMail or do you still
need 3rd party drivers?
Thanks in advance !!!
