IPSwitch's anti-virus pricing gives the customer a negative ROI. How much are customer's paying for their total service including e-mail accounts? If they really want to price so high for unlimited users then they should really increase the scalability, and reliability of their IMail product. An anti-virus scanner is only going to degrade the performance of the machine, and if IMail is already choking on the volumes of mail it gets, especially with its lazy SMTP process, then the ROI just keeps getting worse. Personally, IMail is fine just for POP3 or IMAP accounts, for everything else there's PostfixGate, IMGate, or Declude.
In December pricing will be available for PostfixGate servers, which include everything needed except for POP3 and IMAP access. Do a feature, and price comparison when the information is posted at www.postfixgate.com. PostfixGate A member supported Anti-Spam Database for Postfix, Sendmail, IMail, and many other *nix MTAs. Check out the PostfixGate line of pre-built and pre-configured anti-virus, anti-spam, anti-hijacking, and anti-abuse mail gateway servers.
