Huh? IMail SMTP is about as secure as you can get. Please elaborate.

You could have IMail running on a different port, and have Microsoft send
to it. But I can't think of any reason to do that.

Huh? Again, I'm not sure what you mean here. Microsoft is notorious for
security flaws. They probably have lots of security features like "Do you
want to use feature X, or do you want to be safe and disable it?". There
are no known security flaws with the latest version of IMail.
