[IMail Forum] Reappearing Mail.

I recently received a half dozen messages sent to me in early November!  It was surprising since I've accessed this account over 500 times since November from multiple ISPs . I assume this sudden appearance of mail was the result of human intervention allowing mail to be delivered which was being held for some reason by antispam or AV software. Am I correct? Has anyone ever heard of a mail server that can hold mail then release it after a specified period. This particular account is receiving mail forwarded through XO.com.   James
