1. They cause problems with some mail clients, Palms and WinCE/PocketPC
devices.
2. They cause problems for Digest users.
3. And mostly it is considered bad etiquette to do so on lists, just like
HTML(see #'s 1&2) and ALL CAPS.

Digital signatures are fine for personal one on one emails where needed. But
a list is not the place for them.
