| I'm sure (as Scott is a pretty smart guy) that Scott's statement is true | that you will start to see some appreciable processor needs as the volume | increases BUT it is my opinion that you are money AHEAD to spend on more | processor/memory/disk (whatever it takes to acceptably run it), instead of | spending time and resources (that all cost money) to fix the | aftermath of a | virus that could have been prevented.
One other consideration to factor is that when a message is deflected as spam or a virus, you save the MIPS that would have been used in it's final delivery. My experience so far has been that our configuration is ahead of the game overall... Using Declude Virus and Junkmail, with McAfee, and sniffer, we are rejecting 20% of incoming email on average.
