There was one point (BL - Before Loveletter), where most infected messages fell into this category, and it may have made some sort of twisted since to clean them routinely(I never did). Now 99+% of infected traffic is worm generated and it makes absolutely no since to clean. I do quarantine the messages "just in case". There have only been a couple of times I've been asked to get them out (and always to hand-hold a CEO-type).
