I heard recently on the postfix list that rbl.maps.vix.com, dul.maps.vix.com and maps_rbl_domains were converted to blackholes.mail-abuse.org which were then converted to subscription only. Scott, can you confirm this?

You do not need to understand it. The only time you would need to understand that line would be if you were developing your own DNS-based blacklist for other people to use, or if there was a new blacklist that you wanted to add without our assistance. :) But, in case you are curious, it is nearly identical to the one that comes in the default config files to define the RBL test. It just means that it is an "ip4r" type test (the standard type of DNS-based spam test for checking an IP address), that uses the "rbl.maps.vix.com" zone, and that it returns 127.0.0.2 if spam is detected. There's no need to know any of that, though. Declude just has it in a config file so that it isn't hard-coded, and you can make changes if you need to. -Scott --- Declude: Anti-virus, Anti-spam and Anti-hijacking solutions for IMail. http://www.declude.com --- [This E-mail was scanned for viruses by Declude Virus (http://www.declude.com)] Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
