I  use  SuperSpeed  products exclusively for this, but would never use
write-thru  on  a busy spool folder. Any write-thru operation is going
to  cost  you the same amount of aggregate disk time, thus undermining
the  very reason you're putting in the software. Sure, this would work
fine  under  intermittent  load,  but  under  the  prolonged  disk I/O
overloads  that  call  for a RAM drive, only in-memory processing will
do.
