I am running 6.06 with all the latest hotfixes.  I had a similar problem 
and called Ipswitch about it.  They told me that the fix was to upgrade to 
version 7.0x and that should take care of things.  The technical 
explanation that I was given for what was going wrong is that a process is 
still trying to write to the mailbox.  However, when I pressed for more 
details, as to what process or processes were trying to write to mailbox 
they couldn't give me any specifics.  I ended up having to reboot as 
well.  With what frequency is this happening to your users?
