Len, Sandy and company,

First of all thanks for the Info. Secondly, I did a search on google
looking for how to set up pop-before-smtp and all I seem to pull up was
message board entries from Len asking questions about it and people trying
to help him with either a Berkley Db or another solution. Is there another
place that explains how to set this up inside IMGATE. Once this is set up
then we have to go through the painful process of explaining to all of our
users how to change thier SMPT settings to the IMGate. Also anyone know how
much overhead this might add to a box.. right now IMGate is just on a P166
with a small HD assembly... adding all of the stress of a Spool... what kind
of impact do you guys see. we have about 300 domains and an avg of 10-15
users per

thanks
Todd

so, you're an open relay

with imgate, they can do pop-before-smtp without touching SMTP AUTH, and
you could close your open relay
