In that case (assuming that there isn't an easy way around the firewall
issue, such as a configuration change or upgrading it), I would recommend
adding an entry to the HOSTS file that points to the backup mail
server. Normally, using the HOSTS file like this isn't a good thing, but
it seems that email.dk's primary mailserver may never be reachable (a very
poor design), so using the HOSTS file in this case is acceptable.
Note that if email.dk changes their backup mailservers, the HOSTS file will
need to be updated. But if they really do intentionally have an
unreachable primary mailserver, they get what they ask for.
