Hello... I've been poking around SpamHaus, doing some *basic* research on spam protection.
Please note: I'm expecting mail client filters to do all of the work for now, but I have a few basic questions about server-side protection... 1) Is SpamHaus reliable, can I trust their integrity and their Block List? Their site mentions: "...therefore we strongly recommend you use the SBL in conjunction with a good open relays blocklist. Additionally, to stop even more spam we recommend you also use a good Dynamic Dial-ups blocklist and a good Open SOCKS blocklist." 2) Would using these blocklist mean inserting a list of ip's in IMail's rules.ima (in the proper format, of couse)? Keep in mind don't expect go to these lengths any time soon. I'm just doing basic research here. I should also mention I'm aware that using any such list could block legitimate mail. Thx, D.
