Microsoft Cisco Deerfield CheckPoint Symantec They were able to get away with it, of course, because they had officially EOLed the older version prior to the bug report--as has Ipswitch. Whether the companies knew about the vulnerabilities, or the probability of same, and abused that knowledge in discontinuing support is a question for an insider.
