Um, what kind of certain? Recipients? Senders? Domains?
Two email address in particular:
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
[EMAIL PROTECTED]
Its name never changes to ~MD? Are you sure you're logging enough, or
checking in the right log file?
I've just sent a test message to [EMAIL PROTECTED] and I am watching
the progress as I type this. Looking at the spool directory, it goes to
"processing Items", then immediately goes to waiting items. When I check
the Imail log, the same one that gives me the dialog between my mail
server and others, the auth commands, the elho prompt, and all the other
error/delivery messages, there is nothing in that log that shows that
this email was ever attempted to be delivered. It will now sit in the
waiting items que until I get a delivery failed message. I have now
selected the mail in the waiting items que and hit the send button, to
resend it manually.
Here is the only entry I get in the log:
03:12 07:42 SMTP-(00000310) processing D:\IMAIL\spool\Qf3e510e.SMP
03:12 07:42 SMTP-(00000974) finished D:\IMAIL\spool\Qf3e510e.SMP
status=3
Then, when I go back to the waiting items que, there it is.
I am assuming status=3 means this is the 3rd time it's attempted to send
it. What I don't understand is why I'm not seeing any dialog between my
mail server and theirs, or any error messages like 421 smtp quit, that
type of thing.
Len, I don't think Scott's tool is going to work for me in this case
because eventually this message does get kicked out of the que, with a
delivery failed after 20 attempts message.
Perhaps I am missing something obvious? It's certainly possible :)
