Usually SMTP Auth will work if the client is on our "close" network...
That is, a T1 or similar directly connected to our switches/routers...
However, if they are (more likely) sitting on somebody else's DSL line
or similar, then problems will arise peridodically and for no reason...
We had this same problem a week ago with a good customer of ours...
Luckily they were able to get a static wan... The one before that was
able to get a static block for their network. Some are not so lucky. In
a perfect world we'd love to have SMTP Auth work every time... We still
always start with that... But all too often it must be abandoned.
