Thanks for this help. Just to make sure I understand though ...

All I need to do to act as a backup mail server is:

1. Set SMTP Security to "Relay Mail for ... Addresses"; and

2. Put in a new line in my hosts file for each domain to be backed up, for
example:
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx  primaryserver1.com
xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx  primaryserver2.com

I understand, of course, that the DNS records have to be set up with my
server as an MX record with the correct priority. I also understand I could
put in other selections on the SMTP Security tab, but "Relay Mail for ...
Addresses" seems to be the best option to avoid open relay issues.
