Only one minute is a bit excessive.  Setting it to ten or fifteen
minutes should result only one non-connect by anybody trying to
connect immediately after the changeover.

A week before might be excessive too.  The maximum time a cached DNS
entry would normally be obsolete is the TTL plus the refresh interval.
