I appreciate your reference to my work from a few weeks ago (at http://www.mail-archive.com/[email protected]/msg51915.html)! I also concur with all of your statements about M$ SMTP--it's a fine MTA, one of their loss leaders that you can really take advantage of with Imail as the core mailbox server. > If you are dissatisfied with MS SMTP then you need to consider an > IMGATE box or some other *nix mta but even they will not perform > drastically better than MS smtp. Agreed again. The only way you're gonna get CDO-like submission speed is by using queue injection on Imail. Now, that's all well and good--submission speed can be evened out--but when it comes down to it, especially on an otherwise unloaded server, MS SMTP is no slower than Imail's current sending architecture. It "sux" to admit it, though. -Sandy Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
