Eric, this is one of the reasons why I suggested that a canned weekly reminder should be reinstated. We all have seen newcomers posting to the IMail Forum and thinking that they were speaking directly to Ipswitch. So *not* "everyone knows this is a 'user' community". One would think that a message posted by you on a Sunday at 1:13 a.m. would be enough evidence that you are doing so on your own, regardless of the return address containing "Ipswitch"... > Personally I get a lot of good info from participating in this forum and use > this info to help others when I can. It is quite obvious that subscribers get a lot of expert knowledge out of it; I hoped that the Ipswitch staff got something positive out of it as well. > In my opinion (there's that word) I think this is one of the biggest > mindshare of knowledge I have ever seen around a product that was sponsored > by a manufacturer that wasn't strictly moderated for content. Agreed. Administering IMail servers is not my principal job but being a member of the Forum has enlightened me on tangentially related issues, to the point of my asking off-topic questions here simply because of the broad and considerable expertise. As regards the list not being strictly moderated, it speaks volumes about your employer. > I have always tried to contribute and plan to keep doing so. Amen!!
