That's correct.  Note that they are returning a reverse DNS entry, so you 
do have one.  Although it may not be the one you want, the existence of a 
reverse DNS entry is all that you are expected to have (very few, if any, 
mailservers will require the reverse DNS entry to be anything specific -- 
except that it should have an associated A record).

You don't have to, since they have a reverse DNS entry for your IP.

If you want, though, you can ask them to do that -- and then you could have 
the reverse DNS entry served from your DNS server.  The advantage is that 
you would have full control over it (you could change it any time you 
wanted, for example), but it would be more work.
