Is what Network Solutions is doing regarding "holding" domains hostage that should be available after the expiration date legal? It seems there is also company / subsidiary / partner called Snap-Names that will continue to check a domain's status and order the domain for you when its available (for a fee of course). Problem is their service seems to be totally integrated with Net Sol's website, etc. I have a domain that I would like to register that has been expired for over a month now.
It's really frustrating and I was wondering if anyone had any more light to shed about what they are up to and what I can do about reserving a domain name that *should* be available to the public.
