>I am unable to determine our chipset without rebooting but we have a:
Intel(R) PRO/100+ Server Adapter (PILA8470B) built into our >motherboard

We were using the same NIC (Intel(R) PRO/100+ Server Adapter (PILA8470B))
except that it was in a PCI slot not built in. We kept getting the
following errors in our web logs:

      Occurrences
     Description

345 processed with no referer and user agent
73 Error while writing sockect due to error 10054 or malicious
connection type.

6 Error while writing sockect due to error 10053 or
malicious connection type.

Ipswitch claimed that Imail had a known problem with Intel NICs since 7.05
and they had verified it with and Intel reseller and were working on a
solution. Doubting their conclusion I followed their instructions and
replaced the Intel NICs with "3Com EtherLink XL 10/100 PCI". And...of
course, I still get these errors. Sorry but I don't know how to find out
the chipset on the NIC.

So to answer your question, YES, I have had problems with this Intel NIC and
Imail. (even though I don't think it's the NIC but Ipswitch claims it is)

And....if anyone could help with these errors, any suggestions on how to
diagnose, etc would be appreciated.

Thanks
