I'm with Rod on the "correctness" of enabling ESMTP wherever available, and of course where necessitated by such features as AUTH and DSNs. Yet I think the most compelling reason to support ESMTP on a public mailserver is that connecting mailservers will not be forced to fall back to standard SMTP, which would mean a waste of bandwidth on every connection. Thus ESMTP is the proper choice for good net citizens and those whose own servers are under heavy load. Not to mention that IMail doesn't actually let you turn it off. :) -Sandy To Unsubscribe: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html List Archive: http://www.mail-archive.com/imail_forum%40list.ipswitch.com/ Knowledge Base/FAQ: http://www.ipswitch.com/support/IMail/
