While I agree with most of what you said. I do disagree with people posting a problem that has already been dicussed. The fact of the matter is, Nobody would be able to search, find or query any problem if someone didn't ask it first.
I'm the Admin of a major Windows XP site www.neowin.net. And while we do have our far share of whiners on the board, its our extensive forum information that bring people to us. And without people posting multiple threads, and answering similar questions, we would not have a successful forum. So while I hate multiple threads about the same subject, its very helpful for people to read different responses. I've always had success searching the archives. If I need info on SMTP I enter SMTP not "why does my SMTP not do workie no more". That's a common sense concensious "no brainer". > > - Though you didn't mention the knowledge base, it does have a wealth of > information, but like the archive list, getting to what you need is > cumbersome at best. I have contacted IPSwitch support on occasion and never had to wait more than 24 hours for an email response and calling works really well too. Here's another Tip, not necessary a Trick or Hack, but read this one carefully: "READ THE FINE MANUAL" <gr> ~Rick ___________________________________________________________________ Virus Scanned and Filtered by http://www.FamHost.com E-Mail System.
