The only domain I have had this problem with is hiwaay.net a local isp in
Alabama,

Can you give us some examples of domains that this is happening with?  This 
was supposed to have been fixed a long time ago.  Note that there are lots 
of potential problems that domains could have that could cause IMail to 
legitimate go to the A records.
